Project Overview

The project involved a complete redesign of a Sales Force Automation (SFA) app to enhance its visual appeal and usability for its primary users, territory officers. The original design lacked aesthetics and user-friendliness, making it challenging for users on high-end devices like iPhones and Samsung S22s. Tasked with creating a fresh look and feel, I developed a fully dark UI, enhancing visual comfort and aligning with modern design trends. Additionally, new features were integrated into the app, including AI capabilities to generate calls and reports, which added a layer of intelligence and efficiency to the user experience.

Challenge

The SFA app redesign project faced multiple challenges, primarily around creating a fully dark UI that balanced aesthetic appeal with functional readability for territory officers using high-end devices like iPhones and Samsung S22s. Ensuring that the dark mode interface maintained clarity required thoughtful color selection and careful attention to contrast. Integrating new AI-driven features, such as call generation and report automation, added another layer of complexity, as these functions had to enhance user productivity without overwhelming the interface. Additionally, optimizing the app for a smooth, intuitive user flow was essential, especially with the inclusion of advanced features and tools.

Some highlighted key challenges were:

Results

The redesigned SFA app delivered outstanding results. Users were thrilled with the enhanced interface and user experience, so much so that they showcased the app to peers in other industries. This led to new business opportunities, as the company received work orders for similar app solutions. Additionally, user interaction increased significantly, with a 28.3% boost following the redesign, demonstrating the app’s improved engagement and functionality.
